Yard signs
I love a yard sign, you love a yard sign, we all love yard signs! Luckily every one of us has access to a low-cost DIY yard sign! You need a large piece of *scrap!* cardboard, a couple pieces of paper, and packing tape. You may also want to further decorate the sign, and if so you’ll need appropriate supplies for that as well.
if you aren’t into making your own sign, let me know by emailing me at electcallaway@proton.me and I’ll get one to you.
Instructions:
- Print out the sign template PDF
- cut the first page to the margin
- secure the pages to each other (this is easier to do if you use masking tape to hold them in place)
- (optional) The sign is a blank(ish) canvass; Decorate! You can use whatever symbology strikes your fancy.
- Cut your cardboard to size (18×12 for a solid 1″ margin)
- Tape the paper to the cardboard in overlapping strips, starting from the bottom of the sign (this ensures rain sheds down without sneaking under the tape). Place the top piece of tape as a “cap” on top of the cardboard.
- Place your sign!
Don’t be afraid to make extras and hand them out to your friends!
Flyers!
Feel free to print these out! The full page one is best for putting up on billboards or the like, the quarter sheets are great for handing out at doors or protests.
