North Olympic DSA is a local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America located in Jefferson and Clallam Counties. We believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to increase profits for the wealthy few. Through local chapters like North Olympic DSA, 100,000+ members organize using a variety of tactics to fight capitalism and empower working people.

Chapter Bodies
All the goodwill, democratic agreement, and strategic planning in the world can’t get stuff done without someone actually doing the work. Chapter bodies – working groups and committees – are where the actual work of running the chapter gets done

Our platform focuses on the idea of democracy – ensuring that every member of society has the opportunity to make their voice heard both in their community and in their workplace; and on the ideal of socialism – “from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs”
Or platform focuses on creating a working-class society that allows for thriving communities that have their needs for healthcare, housing, food, and education met, a working class economy where laborers have an equal say in how their labor is directed through unionization and workplace democracy, and a working-class democracy that ensures universal suffrage and truly representative legislative structures
