North Olympic Democratic Socialists of America

    Greetings friends!

We have a few items for today’s newsletter.

First, the next North Olympic Democratic Socialists of America general meeting will be held Tuesday May 26th, 7:00PM, at the Port Angeles Library 2210 S Peabody St, Port Angeles, WA 98362; or online at https://meet.jit.si/NorOlyDSAGeneralMeetings.

We’ll be talking about local issues we can organize around, doing a quick update on the status of the state legislative elections, opening nominations for chapter leadership positions in preparation for our chapter convention next month, and discussing completing chapter organizing work. The draft meeting agenda is here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/14zskpHxJJfLbaepZXRYQMvTxqJJznh7X6XrJCihf-C8/edit?usp=sharing; as always any Member in Good Standing can request changes to the agenda or propose resolutions at any time prior to the start of the meeting.

Second, we’d like to remind folks that we do the majority of chapter discussion outside of meetings on signal. We have a public signal open to anyone that requests access, and a private signal that is only open to members in good standing. If you want to be more involved, the signal is the easiest way to connect with your fellow members. If you’re interested in joining the signal, send us an email and I’ll provide you with the join link. Don’t worry if you’re unfamiliar with signal, we can help you get it set up.

Third, our website is live! You can check it out at noroly.chapters.dsausa.org; it still needs a lot of work but it’s in a place where it’s usable.
